Follow the Update procedure.
If you have Windows and you end up with Windows method 1, then the existing license is automatically taken over and you can continue with the remaining license period.
For MAC OS and if you want to solve the Windows "Chinese letter" problem, it means a new license. Note your remaining useful life, which will expire.
