Unreadable characters in PrintCMR

unreadable-characters-in-printWe regularly receive a signal on our Helpdesk that PrintCMR looks strange, no longer legible.

In this article you will see an explanation about the cause and the solution.



The problem occurs if Adobe Reader is installed in a small number of versions. Since February 2021 the problem has become more serious than before.

Both Adobe and PrintCMR use the same cache for the fonts. Because both systems put a different solution in the same file, it is possible that PrintCMR reads the wrong font and then places it.

Note: Since PrintCMR 18 this problem can be solved permanently by using the FM Pro (method 2) license!
